Whether I was backpacking through the Rocky Mountains, hiking to the floor of the Grand Canyon, traveling the world with my husband, Tom, photographing wildlife, or simply enjoying a walk outdoors, being active has always been central to who I am.

My professional life was equally dynamic. After earning a degree in Sociology, I built a successful career in media production and communications, working with major corporations before launching my own production company. My husband and I have spent decades combining our professional talents with our passion for nature, conservation, photography, and exploration. Today, as published by authors and wildlife photographers living in Leesburg, Virginia, we continue to embrace an active lifestyle filled with creativity and adventure.

Now, just four weeks after surgery, I am nearly pain-free and already seeing remarkable progress. I'm walking independently around my home and enjoying longer walks through my neighborhood. Recently, my husband and I spent time walking together at Morven Park in Leesburg, navigating uneven gravel paths while enjoying the outdoors once again. Moments like these remind me how much of my life I am getting back.
