Experiencing care from the other side
For StoneSprings Hospital colleague Linda Vamosi, financial counselor, knee pain had been a lifelong challenge. Born knock‑kneed and later injured as a pedestrian, Linda endured years of limited mobility, multiple reconstructive surgeries, and persistent pain that eventually required her to use a cane just to walk.
Having worked at StoneSprings since its opening, choosing where to have surgery was easy. “I have seen how wonderful the care is here,” Linda said. “I truly would not choose anywhere else.”
On the day of surgery, Linda experienced the same compassion and professionalism she had witnessed as an employee. From registration to pre‑op, every step was explained clearly, easing her anxiety. Despite having allergies that limited pain‑management options, the anesthesia team created a personalized plan that worked seamlessly.
“From the moment I stepped in, I felt like my family was taking care of me,” Linda shared. “What made the biggest difference was the confidence of everyone — especially my surgeon, Dr. Abbas Naqvi. He made me feel like I could do this.”
Recovery was smoother than expected, supported by coordinated follow‑up care, physical therapy scheduling, and educational materials that removed uncertainty from the process. The result was life‑changing.
“I have no knee pain and can walk — which still feels unreal,” Linda said. “After being in pain my whole life, having the feeling of two new knees is truly a life changer.”
When asked what stood out most about her experience, Linda didn’t hesitate: “You don’t feel like a number. You feel like family. The care you get at StoneSprings is exceptional — and it’s real.”
