HCA Virginia, through HCA Healthcare Foundation’s Healthier Tomorrow Fund, has announced a $50,000 contribution to United Way of Greater Richmond & Petersburg to advance its healthy community initiatives across the region.

United Way of Greater Richmond & Petersburg will activate the funds through targeted programs designed to improve the quality of and access to health care while also addressing disparities through a broad array of interventions, including nutrition, food security and disease awareness.

“At United Way, we know that strong partnerships drive meaningful change,” said Barbara Couto Sipe, president and chief executive officer of United Way of Greater Richmond & Petersburg. “We are thankful for this investment in our work, which will help us address deep-rooted causes of preventable deaths related to heart disease and maternal health. Together, we can create a healthier future for our region.”

HCA Healthcare Foundation’s Healthier Tomorrow Fund is a $75 million community impact fund, supporting innovative initiatives focused on addressing high-priority community needs and health access.
