Online registration

We know your time is valuable. That’s why we offer convenient online registration for services such as surgical procedures, mammograms, and diagnostic tests and treatments.

We accept all forms of government insurance from the U.S., Canada and other countries. We also accept Medicare, Medicaid, Civilian Health and Medical Program of the Uniformed Services (CHAMPUS), and workers compensation.

We respect the dignity and pride of each individual we serve. We want our patients to be informed of their rights, responsibilities, and have access to contacts for complaints and grievances.

Talk directly to a nurse, any time

Consult-A-Nurse is a free service that provides you with physician referrals and health information 24/7. Our RNs and referral specialists can help you find a doctor, answer your healthcare questions and register for classes and events.

 

Patient policies and procedures

At Reston Hospital Center, we want you to have as much information as possible about the care you'll receive in our hospital and what to expect before, during and after your time with us.

Check in for general procedures

On the day of your inpatient or outpatient procedure, register at the pavilion registration area, which is located on the first floor of the hospital at 1850 Town Center Parkway. Registration is open Monday through Friday from 5:45am to 6:00pm.

On weekends, you can register 24/7 at our emergency department registration area.

Check in for radiology and lab

For radiology and lab procedures, register in the radiology department, located on the first floor of the main hospital accessible from the pavilion or main entrances.

Check-in for medical imaging

For medical imaging services, you can register at our location in the Hospital Center Medical Plaza at 1830 Town Center Drive, Suite 110. Our imaging center is open Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm.

Free valet parking

Hospital patients can get free valet parking, available at the Pavillion II entrance. Emergency parking is available across from the department entrance. Guests and visitors can find more parking information on our visitor's page.

Preparing for your visit

Review these guidelines as you prepare for your visit for inpatient or outpatient care. Find the information such as what items to bring, how to transfer your medical records and how to prepare for a procedure.

As our patient, we care about you and your experience at our hospital. We want you to be as informed as possible. Before your stay, be sure to read your patient's rights and responsibilities.

Our top priority is to treat you with compassion. We want to get you back home to your loved ones, so we strive to provide treatment effectively and efficiently. To achieve this outcome and make your stay a positive one, we provide top-notch services, a caring and professional staff, outstanding facilities and a supportive atmosphere. Case management services

We offer case management assistance to help you and your family coordinate follow-up care if needed when you return home from your hospital stay.

Delivery and business services

As our patient, you can receive postal mail, newspapers, flowers and gifts delivered to your room. We also offer wireless (Wi-Fi) internet access throughout the hospital and ATM banking services.

Meal services

We are proud to offer you and your visitors delicious and nutritious meals from our first-class dining program. We offer a variety of foods, diets and consistencies that accommodate all dietary requirements. You can order meals for yourself and a guest through our made-to-order room service. Visitors can also dine in our cafeteria, and we have around-the-clock vending areas near the emergency department and surgery waiting room.

Patient advocates

Our guest relations department offers patient advocate services to all patients. These essential members of our staff help address any concerns or issues that arise during your stay.

Room accommodations

We want your stay to be as pleasant as possible. Our private patient rooms feature comfortable accommodations with cable televisions, Wi-Fi access and bedside telephones.

Tobacco-free policy

All of our facility locations are tobacco-free to support a healthy environment for patients, visitors and employees.

Translation and interpretation services

We offer translation services for many languages, including sign language. Assistive devices are also available for sensory-impaired persons.

Preparing to return home

When your doctor decides you're ready to leave the hospital, you'll receive a discharge order with instructions for follow-up care, such as medication, dietary requirements or other recommendations. You will also schedule your next appointment with your doctor.

Next, you will go to the hospital cashier to settle your account. Finally, you will be escorted by a hospital representative to your waiting transportation. You may want to arrange for a family member or friend to take you home.

Advanced system for medication safety

We take seriously our responsibility to ensure your medications are administered correctly and on time. When a medication is given to you, it's documented in your electronic medical record. Our advanced technology provides a system of checks and balances to help ensure medications are dispensed safely and effectively.

We provide comfortable waiting areas, with special locations for families of patients in surgery, critical care and emergency.
