As the only pediatric unit in South Richmond, we care for thousands of children each year and specialize in providing the pediatric care your child deserves.

Depending on their needs, your child's care team may include a pediatrician, pediatric specialists, a social worker, a case manager, dedicated pediatric pharmacists and pediatric-trained therapists.


Pediatric specialists

Our pediatric care specialists treat children with a variety of acute and chronic conditions and disabilities, from diabetes to spinal deformities. Our pediatric units are secured, and visitors must provide identification and sign in and out.

Pediatric emergency care

Everything about our pediatric emergency unit is designed with your child in mind. To ensure your child's comfort, our dedicated pediatric emergency room (ER) is separate from our hospital's main emergency department. Our waiting area is brightly decorated and our pediatric specialists use kid-friendly equipment perfectly sized for kids.

Pediatric infectious disease treatment

We offer specialized treatment for pediatric infectious diseases, such as those caused by bacteria or viruses. Our physicians work directly with your child's pediatrician to provide comprehensive care from diagnosis to treatment and follow-up care.

Pediatric mental health

If your child or adolescent is dealing with depression, addiction or other mental health conditions, we offer comprehensive behavioral health services for kids and teens at Tucker Pavilion. Our programs are tailored to their specific needs and include both inpatient and outpatient options.

Pediatric orthopedics
