Our rehabilitative services
Our team of rehab specialists is here to offer you the support services you deserve as you heal and recover.
Our personalized approach
Our goal is to help you better understand your body and learn techniques to help you recover and improve your body's function. We design your rehab plan based on your individual needs and lifestyle.
Neurological rehab
Neurological rehab helps patients recover from brain and nervous system conditions, such as strokes, multiple sclerosis and spinal cord injuries. Our patients come from a variety of backgrounds and come to us with diverse needs.
Physical therapy
Our physical therapists design custom treatment plans to help you preserve and strengthen muscle and motor function. They might help you work through exercises or guided stretching. Balance training is another type of therapy that focuses on muscle coordination problems and symptoms like dizziness that can come with balance and inner ear disorders.
Our team will also educate you on controlling pain and preventing re-injury by reducing stressors related to repetitive activities. If needed, we can help you determine if any mobility equipment is necessary to relieve your pain and regain independence.
Orthopedic rehab
We work closely with our orthopedic care program. After surgery or another procedure, you may need additional help to regain your strength and mobility. We offer specialized therapy services to help patients recover after a joint replacement surgery or other orthopedic procedure.
Occupational therapy
Occupational therapy, or OT, is a type of therapy that focuses on improving your ability to do daily activities, such as bathing, dressing, eating and home management. It can help patients of all ages who experience physical, sensory, or cognitive problems. OT can help you regain your independence.
Speech therapy
Speech and language therapy focuses on improving cognition, impaired speech, and swallowing difficulty. They can also help you with aphasia, which is the loss of ability to speak or comprehend speech and is usually caused by brain damage. As part of our program, you will learn how to improve your memory, complete tasks and effectively communicate.
Swallow studies
We begin your treatment by evaluating you. Our modified barium swallow studies are the first step in addressing your speech and swallowing disorders. The exam allows your radiologist and speech-language pathologist to identify why you are having trouble swallowing.
Outpatient swallow studies may be conducted by appointment only, Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 6:00pm. To schedule a swallow study, please call (571) 349-4106.
