Information for our visitors
For your convenience we have included some helpful information for your visit.
Visiting hours at our hospital
We maintain open visiting hours, however, there are some situations when overnight visitors are not permitted, so please check with your nurse. Note that public hospital entrances are locked between 9:00pm to 5:30am. Guests should postpone their visit if they have an infection or illness such as a cold or the flu, as the health of our patients depends on it. We appreciate your cooperation in this matter. These departments have their own unique visitor schedule.
Behavioral health visitation
Visiting hours are 6:30pm to 8:30pm. All visitors will be asked to sign in with the nursing staff. For the safety of our patients, visitors and staff, purses, bags and pockets will be searched. Access for visitors under the age of 18 should be coordinated through our nursing or case management staff prior to arrival.
Critical care visitation
Visiting hours are from 6:00am to 8:00pm daily.
Visitors must be at least 16 years old.
Visitors are limited to 2 at a time in the patient's room in order to promote a restful environment and provide adequate space for patient care.
Visitors are not permitted to sleep in patient rooms unless overnight visitation is approved by the Director.
Neonatal intensive care unit visitation (NICU) visitation
Visitors are limited to the child's parents and those designated by the parents (limited to three visitors at a bedside at any time). All visitors must be accompanied by the mother or child's paternal designee.
Labor and delivery visitation
Three people are allowed in the room for support during labor and post-delivery, assuming the mother is well and does not require advanced medical attention. Cesarean section procedures will be restricted to one support person.
Pediatrics visitation
Immediate family may visit at any time and siblings may visit if they are free of signs and symptoms of infection. Visiting hours for others are at the discretion of the child's parent or guardian. One parent may stay overnight with their child.
Visitation restrictions
Circumstances may allow for specific exceptions to any visitation restrictions described on this webpage. Those circumstances include religious visitation as well as a designated support person for a patient with a disability to provide assistance with communication or other necessary components of the patient's treatment. All persons entering under an exception remain subject to appropriate infection control protocols.
Lobby waiting areas
There are specially designed lounge waiting areas for guests throughout the hospital, including the main lobby and specific locations within our patient care units. Check with a member of the staff to find the nearest lobby area.

Chaplain
The services of a chaplain are available to patients and their families upon request or referral. Area clergy of various denominations and faiths assist the hospital chaplain in providing emotional and spiritual support during a time of illness or crisis. The nursing staff will be glad to contact the chaplain or any other member of the clergy you may wish to see. The chapel, located on the first floor by the west entrance of the hospital, is nonsectarian and open to patients and guests for meditation 24 hours a day.
Privacy and social media
While participating in social media activities at our hospital, please remember to respect the privacy of the people surrounding you including other patients, their family and friends, and employees. Nurses, doctors or other staff members are not allowed to accept Facebook “friend” requests from you. Our policy prohibits providers from posting pictures of patients or being “tagged” in a picture of a patient on a social media site. Please be mindful of your healthcare providers' privacy, professional boundaries and confidentiality. They have been instructed to remove any tags from pictures on social media sites that patients have posted. Our patients and their family/friends appreciate you respecting their privacy by not posting their pictures or discussing their experiences at our hospital on any social media sites. Thank you for helping protect the privacy and confidentiality of our patients and employees.
