We also provide access to a variety of rehabilitation systems and technologies to improve function and control in your hands, arms, legs, throat and other areas.
Neuro and low vision rehabilitation
Our neuro and low vision program is the only program of its kind in Southwest Virginia. The program's advanced therapy team evaluates and treats functional, vision-related problems caused by neurological disorders, stroke, brain injuries, age-related changes, developmental issues or other medical conditions.
Visual rehabilitation, also known as neuro-optometric rehabilitation, can help with vision problems resulting from neurological disorders or nervous system trauma. This includes double vision, light sensitivity, visual inattention, poor visual information processing and spatial perception difficulty.
The goal of the program is to increase safety and independence when completing daily tasks in your home and community, and it includes a range of services designed to maximize your remaining vision.
